Marketing is a challenge for businesses of all sizes — and the business-of-one is certainly no exception. “No time, no money.” Sound familiar? Well, going it alone is tough: so much to remember, and it's always changing! The good news is you have options. Today I will present three of them: (1) become a referral machine, (2) develop collaborations, and (3) enter into partnership. Big steps, I know. I will discuss the advantages and disadvantages of each arrangement, ultimately making the case for partnership (from a marketer's perspective). This is a working hypothesis I have developed over two years of talking with IECs. This session will be more big picture than nitty gritty. Questions welcome.
